Code of Conduct
Joining the Domo User Group Slack means agreeing to these. They are adapted from Domo's own community guidelines so the rules are familiar if you spend time in both places.
Assume everything you post is public
This is a public workspace. Anonymise company data, customer names, and screenshots before you paste them. Blur the instance name and the row-level data. If it would be a problem on a conference slide, it is a problem here.
Be respectful
Disagree with the approach, not the person. People here range from first-week analysts to architects running Domo across the Fortune 500, and a question that looks obvious to you was not obvious to someone once. Don't sweat the small stuff.
Keep it relevant to the channel
Post in the channel that fits. General Domo questions, platform architecture, dataflows, APIs — there is a place for each. Threads keep channels readable; use them.
No solicitation
Don't pitch products or services in the channels or via unsolicited DMs to members you haven't spoken with. Answering a question by mentioning a tool you built is fine. Cold outreach to the member list is not.
No hateful, illegal, or copyrighted material
Hateful or harassing content, illegal content, and copyrighted material you don't have the right to share are all out — no exceptions, no warnings needed.
This is not Domo Support
The group is independent and not affiliated with Domo, Inc. Nobody here can escalate your ticket, see your instance, or commit to a roadmap. For anything that needs official support, go to Domo directly.
// if something goes wrong
The group is run by one person, so treat this as a statement of the ground rules rather than a support process — there is no review board and no response-time promise. If someone is making the space worse, message jae@datacrew.space or DM Jae Wilson in the workspace, and it will be dealt with as directly as it can be.
